Welcome to GothicRock, a community dedicated to just that; actual gothic rock. You might be one of the people who think Marilyn Manson and Evanescence are the most "goth" bands ever, in that case; move along, this community is not for you.
This community is about the original gothic rock bands, who mostly started out during the late 70s/early 80s, the bands who spawned after the fall of the punk movement. Bands like The Sisters Of Mercy, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Joy Division, and other related artists.
You don't have to like all of these bands to be a member, nor do you have to dislike anything outside the goth genre, but a basic knowledge about the music is required. Your stand on these things be taken into consideration before joining.


Update: The notes have been cleared out, new members have arrived, and the new submissions will be up during the course of the week. Please, realise that both ~Ravenhearted have quite demanding real lifes, and can't be online as often as we would like. Then again - in the end, it's you, our members, who keep this community alive.
